In 2026, Survivor is celebrating 50 seasons. That means for more than 25 years now, contestants have competed on a reality show to test their survival skills in the wilderness while forming and breaking alliances, all in pursuit of a $1 million prize.

Since premiering in 2000, the groundbreaking, intense reality show hosted by Jeff Probst has captivated audiences. Even if you haven’t seen a single episode of it, you’ve probably encountered any given number of references in pop culture to its dramatic eliminations — perhaps you’re familiar with its famous phrase, “The tribe has spoken!” — or high-stakes challenges that put both strategic and athletic abilities to the test. More than 750 contestants have tried their hands at the all-consuming, physically exhausting game, and countless others have tuned in season after season to watch everything unfold.

With the size of Survivor‘s audience, it’s only natural that many of the show’s fans are people with big fanbases themselves. Numerous celebrities have expressed their devout love for the enterprise, including several star musicians — some of whom have even gotten the chance to make cameos or add their own twists on episodes of the show. A certain A-list pop star, for instance, recently launched her very own game-changing idol in the series’ landmark 50th season, while a famous country bandleader once sailed out to the island to hang out with the contestants and grill up some fresh catch. (More on both of those later.)

The 50th installment of Survivor is ongoing, with the finale slated to air on CBS and Paramount+ in May. As the competition plays out, see some of the famous musicians who have been open about their love for the long-running show below.
